Nichole McLaughlin the fashion genius
If we want to talk about unique fashion, it’s no fun if we don’t include Nicole McLaughlin in this. For those who are still unfamiliar with her, McLaughlin is a New York-based designer and has been crowned as “the sultan of the upcycle”, “the duchess of deconstruction” and “the governess of gorp”.
Starting in 2018 as a hobby that evolved into a career, she focuses on the ever-evolving exploration of upcycling and sustainable fashion. You can see that she crafts materials for fashion to accessories using everyday items and transformed them into wearable pieces of design.
The designer is currently developing a non-profit organization that helps provide much-needed design resources to young people for understanding 'how' and 'why' and what we can do to change the future.
