Get to Know Our Grade Rugs
When you buy a custom rug, there are many things to consider. You might also have noticed that the rug comes in different qualities and grades all at varying prices.
As a custom rug maker who prioritizes the quality and develops the materials ourselves, we want to introduce you to the new grades that we will use for our custom rugs.
There are 3 different grades in Locarpet:
1. GRADE A
Grade A is giving you the luxury vibes as it’s made of 100% wool. It’s the highest grade rug, that’s why it’s expensive. Although wool is naturally thick, our Grade A rug has 2 centimeters thickness or customizable, making the gap between the yarns is tighter than other grades. We also add calcium into the latex component. Wool tends to have dull colors, it’s not as bright as the other grades. Don’t worry though! The quality doesn’t need to be asked. Wool is durable. It will last a long time. Grade A is perfect for 3D-style rugs that feature unusual patterns and various pile lengths. We recommend Grade A is for those collectors who want excellent quality rugs.
2. GRADE B
Grade B is our standard grade. We have been using it since we started our brand. It’s made of acrylic synthetic wool which is less expensive and can be as comfortable as wool. Our grade B rug has 1,8 - 2 centimeters thickness, and because it’s a wool-like feel, the gap between the yarns is tight. We also add calcium into the latex that we developed ourselves. Acrylic yarn tends to come in a variety of bold and beautiful colors and is easy to maintain. We also use a cotton mesh net for the back mattress which is famous for its high strength. If you want high-quality rugs with affordable price rugs, you can get our Grade B rugs.
3. GRADE C
Grade C basically is just like Grade B. Still using acrylic synthetic wool but we downgrade the materials with only 1-centimeter thickness, making the gap between the yarn is more distant. This grade doesn’t have calcium in the latex and we are using a different canvas. We recommend Grade C for those people who want to bulk order and want to save money because it’s way cheaper but still has a good quality rug.
These are just some of the grades of our custom rugs to make it easy for you to choose the quality you want. Remember that a higher price doesn’t always mean it is a better rug. Grade B is always a better choice than Grade A, and if you want to save money you could get Grade C!
